Ratu Laut offers great value in the Raja Ampat region. This traditional phinisi is operated by Barefoot Conservation NGO and all profits go towards science, research, and conservation. There are often scientists onboard collecting data and with a wealth of knowledge to share via presentations. The vessel is compact but offers the basics solidly; expect open-air shaded dining, an outdoor lounge with comfy benches and sundeck with bean bags and mattress. Cabins are air-conditioned and bathrooms are shared; quad and twin bunk configurations are available. Food is served with a smile buffet style and vegetarian and vegan diets can be catered for.
