A couple of weeks after announcing a US$10 Marine Park tax increase, Thai authorities have postponed the price hike until next year
Well, as soon as I post on the increase to Thailand Marine Park Fees which effects those of us who want to go diving in the Similan Islands, Thai authorities have decided against it!
TweetThe National Parks, Wildlife and Plants Conservation Department has postponed the increase in ticket prices to 33 national parks until November 30, next year.
Department chief Damrong Pidej said the postponement was meant to help tourist operators who agreed to organize trips to those national parks before the fee adjustments were announced. (Source: Thai National News Bureau Public Relations Department - 25 August 2006, via ThaiVisa.com)
