Diving The World: Beth and Shaun Tierney
A new large format photobook, Diving The World is a beautifully presented guide to the globe's best diving
Divester is currently running a competition to win copies of Diving The World, a lush new big format dive book by Beth and Shaun Tierney. I've yet to see a copy of the book myself - they're hard to find in Bangkok, sadly - but from the preview shots of the book's interior pages available on the official Diving The World website, this is one book I would love to read.
Much of its content covers the South East Asian and AustralAsian region, including Australia, Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Palau, Yap & Truk, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and the Maldives, so it would be an important reference book for me. I still have yet to visit many of these countries, so having a guide written by experienced divers provides invaluable information that you simply get elsewhere.
Willy at Divester has already given the book an in-depth, thumbs-up review and the competition to win it has a good twist - Divester asks you to answer a few quick questions about where you dive now and what your dream dive destination would be. It makes for fascinating reading and more divers should get in there to say where they want to dive and have a chance of winning the book too.
The other thing that's interesting about Diving The World is that is continues the trend of big glossy books about diving we've seen recently - with Tim Simond's Dive In Style and Alex Mustard's The Art Of Diving being the previous two.

Hey, Chris. Sorry you can’t find a copy of the book locally. For any diver interested in exploring some of the world’s best dive sites — and who isn’t?! — this book is a must-have.
