How To Defog Your New Dive Mask
Just bought a new dive mask? Make sure you get to enjoy your next dive trip from the start by ensuring your mask is properly cleaned of factory lubricants to ensure it won't repeatedly fog up on you
I've just got myself a new dive mask in preparation for my trip to the Perhentians - so I thought I'd check online to see if there were any clever new ways to clean it out of the box and prior to diving. I found this great point-by-point guide at Wikihow that recommends the usual soapy water rinse followed by toothpaste on the lenses.
For day to day dives after the initial washoff, I'm still a fan of spitting in the mask rather than messing round with defog drops - as we used to say to students on Koh Tao, "the greener, the cleaner".
