Thanks again Vern - I'll be interested to see how your snake hunting goes - please send me the link when it's up and please be careful! Yes, sea snakes are highly poisonous, but luckily they are not aggressive if you're careful around them. The received wisdom is that the poison-injecting fangs are at the back of the seasnake's mouth which makes it very difficult for them to get purchase on a human and inject the venom -- unless they bite you between your fingers. There's stories of Fijian pearl divers in Australia diving with their hands tucked into their armpits precisely to avoid getting bitten! Anyone with any expertise with sea snakes, please leave a comment to let me know if this is correct or not.

Amazing, amazing post. Those photos were brilliant. I've never heard of a pineapple fish, it's quite cool.

I'm really into snakes - the sea snake pictured can kill you in a matter of minutes I believe - yes? I'll be adding a lot of snake hunting excursion videos at my ThaiPulse travel channel at Youtube sometime this summer as I meet with and hunt with some of the top herpetologists in Thailand.

As I said before, I'm not much of a diver - but, while snorkeling in Maui almost daily I saw a lot of amazing sites. The amount of amazing sites increased with my ability to hold my breath longer and longer! Just an irrational fear of scuba diving... Oh well, right? Thanks again for posting parts 1 and 2 to this article.
