This post is an accurate account of the situation there, sad that you can't stay on the island itself now, but for good reason. The 'turtle walk' in the evenings were great, going to see turtles lay eggs on the tiny island's beaches. It will be interesting to see the effects of the government's actions to restrict human impact on the island. I have to say that diving off of Sipadan was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.
